Dumb YouTube comments may be a thing of the past.
Literally. A few weeks ago your favorite YouTube video may have had a lot of monosyllabic comments near the top. 'Dumb!1!1' or 'Kewl!' were common, but now the commenting system is powered by Google+, allowing you to turn comments into conversations.
Replies are now threaded, and you can control who sees your comments, as well as filter certain words or enable moderation on threads that you start. Comments from the video creator or people in your social circles will appear near the top.
You'll need a Google+ account before commenting, but most YouTube users already have one, whether they know it or not. Ask us if you have questions.
