10 Social Post Ideas for the Multifamily Industry
1: Resident announcements (snow related, general maintenance related-smoke detectors, paving).
Example: For your safety, we’ll be replacing your smoke detector batteries from April 13-18. Thanks for your cooperation!
2: Events in the area! Post about local events that are close to your community.
Example: Fairs, Concerts, Festivals, etc.
3: Employee Spotlights. Introduce your employees to your residents via your social media pages. Provide fun facts about your employees.
4: Get your residents involved! Ask a question or a trivia question. Maybe include a prize for the first person to comment. Make sure you mention what social media platform they need to post their answer.
5: Social events announcements (bus trips, parties in the clubroom, pool parties).
Example: Don’t forget our St. Patrick’s Day party is March 13 in the clubroom. Join your fellow Xchange Place residents for a Wee Bit of Fun.
6: Amenity reminders and announcements.

Example: Just a friendly reminder that your rent is due Wednesday, February 1.
8: Interesting links. Make sure you’ve read the entire article or viewed the entire video you are linking to. Provide 2-5 sentences on what the link is about and why you are sharing it with your residents.
9: A specific special. Even better, why not try a social media specific bonus. It’s best to limit highly commercial messages to about once a month.

10: Share a Photo! Posting images of the fun and exciting things happening around your community, like new fitness equipment, the pool, spring flowers that are being planted around the community, office fun, etc. Your residents want to feel a sense of community and this is the perfect way to do so.
